Awesome Stuff!
In this footage, we get to see an F/A-18 as it did a night launch at the USS Nimitz. We think that night launches are almost enjoyable to watch since the darkness gives that added intrigue.
We also get to see how much this aircraft has so many fuel tanks because its main task is refueling other planes. At the plane’s belly, you can see the air-to-air refueling POD. That’s definitely a lot of fuel tanks! Pretty crazy to think how long that fuel lasts. Looks like this bird is going for a long flight! Also, the violence in the turbines that you hear is pretty amazing.
