If there was one true early version of the A-10 Warthog, it has to be the Skyraider. Used mainly in the Korea and Vietnam wars , it is the father of the Warthog and was one of the best ground-attack aircrafts of the era. There’s just something so “beastly” about the design and all the armory it carried. You definitely didn’t want to see this thing flying over you if you were the enemy.
The crew consisted of 1 and had a maximum speed of 322 mph. It’s armament mainly consisted of 4 x 20mm cannons with 15 hard points on the wings for rockets, torpedoes, bombs, and more. The capacity was 8000 lbs.
