The Corsair has to be one of the best-looking warbirds of WWII. From it’s inverted gulf wings, do it’s massive engine, there are so many things to like about this aircraft. That’s why you can never go wrong listening to the mighty Pratt & Whitney 2800 double wasp engine. In this video, we see a Corsair starting up and taxing at an airshow. It’s a cold start, and it sounds beastly at 2000 HP. There’s a reason why the enemy was terrified of this aircraft. It was called the “Whistling Death” for a reason. It made a whistling noise because of the air going through the gun ports.
