Rare Inside Look of the B-36J Peacemaker

It’s not all that often you get to see the inside of an aircraft like this. The B36J Peacemaker was a very large prop bomber that came in from about 1949- 1959. It was made by Convair and had the largest wingspan of any other aircraft ever created. It had a huge range, and 4 bomb bays with a payload capacity of 87,000 lbs. It’s safe to say this thing was designed for carrying nuclear bombs.

And thanks to the National Museum of US Air Force, we get to see what it’s like on the inside of this aircraft. There’s just not a ton of footage of this plane out there, so it was a special treat to actually see the interior of this marvelous aircraft.
